Parisian indie artist Jean Tonique has dropped his latest album Sunny Side Up, with the intro, ‘Sunrise’, acting as a teaser for what’s to come. With subtle lo-fi beats building up a background texture, the lead vocal that provides us with heartfelt melodies is distant and warm. Guitars and synths combine in their textures to make an interesting machine of deep harmonies and ringing overtones, adding to the introspective feel of the track as a whole.
